The Leela beach at Kovalam is the hub of traditional wooden catamaran boats. Catamaran boats are unique in the sense that they have two hulls instead of one and are rowed with a bamboo paddle by experienced fishermen.
To ride in this boat is to experience what it must have been like riding a boat in the olden days. For catamaran boat rides, advance booking is not required.
