The word Ayurveda belongs to Sanskrit Language and it means life-Knowledge or Knowledge regarding life. Ayurveda originated from Indian Sub Continental and is well established in Kerala state from the starting period itself. Lord Dhanvantari revealed Ayurveda , and he was the Physician of Devas as per Hindu concept. Ayurveda is an ancient health care tradition that has been practiced in India for at least 5,000 years.

There are somany types of ayaurveda massages in which Abhyangam is most general oil massage therapy for healing and detoxifying body , Mind and Spirit. Herbal oils will help to reduce the stress during massage.

There are somany famous big Ayurveda hospitals are there in Kerala like Kottakkal arya Vaidya sala , Vaidyarathnam Oushadhasala, Arya Vaidya pharmacy etc…same time Ayurveda became popular by the service of small hospitals and treatment centers spreaded all over Kerala .

Due to increased demand from tourists coming from other states and countries to Kerala, so many approved Ayurveda massaging centers started recently. As in any field we can see some cheaters in this Ayurveda too ,mainly concentrating in Hot tourist destinations like Munnar , Thekkady , Alappey , Kovalam , Kochi etc..
