Overview

Coimbatore is the the third biggest city in Tamil nadu,with a population more than 15 lakhs.To the northwest is the centuries-old,Darvidian-style Arulmigu Subramaniyaswami Temple,Marudamalai.The colorful and intricately carved Arulmigu Subramaniyaswami Temple lies southeast of here.In the centere,the gass Forest Museum has a huge collection of preserved animals and tree trunks.Southeast, birds and butterflies inhabit Singanallur Lake. Coimbatore is otherwise called as textile city.The city houses textile mills catering to export.

Coimbatore is also an industrial city where small scale industries florish.Coimbatore houses many Educational Institutions in the field of Engineering,Arts and Science colleges.Now from small pins to heavy machinery are manufactured here.Coimbatore is now a metropolitan city with a population covering all religions,races.It is well conected with every big cities all over India by Rail,Road,Air and also digitally.

To reach every city in South India,there are 3 Mofusal Bus Stands and one Omni Bus Stand, one Town Bus Stand, three Railway junctions, and an Airport. Since the Climate of Coimbatore is cooling around the year, the city is called Poor Mans Ooty also.

Marudhamalai Hill Temple

The Marudhamalai hill temple is located at a towering height of 500 ft in the highland on the Western Ghats. 15 kms away to north-west of Coimbatore city, the temple has an excellent invigorating atmosphere. Vehicles are allowed to pass through the Marudhamalai temple and the devasthanam has granted three buses from the low slope of the hill to get through the temple on top. The Marudhamalai temple has its main deity as Lord Muruga and the temple attributes quite delightful facilities to the habitu making their visit a comforting one while offering their prayer to the deity. The major feature of this hill is that it grows important medicinal herbs, which is used extensively in making ayurvedic medicines.

The Perur Siva Temple

The Perur Siva Temple is situated at around 6 km away in the west of Coimbatore. The temple was built by the Karikala Cholan and has been constructed marvelously on the banks of the river Noyyal. The Perur Siva Temple is has been dedicated entirely to lord Siva and the deity in the shrine is called as Patteeswaras and His Consort, Pachai Nayaki. The buildings in the outer edge were constructed by the sawyers of Madurai during 17th century. kovai Kutralam Falls

Kovai Kutralam falls is an exhilarating water fall located in the scenic region of Siruvani. The water fall is about 37 kilometers away from Coimbatore city and the water fall is predominantly manifested for its exaltedness.
